named Roswell), who is going through a difficult time in
her life as a teenage girl. Her father has abandoned the
family, her best friend is pregnant and she is confused
and threatened by boys. Her English teacher instructs
the class to keep a "thoughtful journal." Roswell thinks
that she despises introspection, but begins to find
comfort and release in her journaling.
